NewsDate: Jan 19, 2010 Cougars Clinch 1st, Carey Reaches 100This past weekend, the Burlington Cougars clinched top spot in the West Division of the CCHL with two of the three games won in a shootout. This was a huge weekend for the Cougars but they wouldn't disappoint with three solid games, and victories over St. Michael's, Streetsville, and Whitby. Greg Carey reached 100 points on the season. This marked the first time in many years that Cougars teammates have reached that plateau in a season. Carey has netted an astonishing 66 goals thus far, with 6 regular season games remaining. After a road game in Markham this Friday, the Cougars return home for a colossal tilt with the 2nd place Newmarket Hurricanes on Saturday evening.
